"Bunny" and Pole

Here are photos of Bunny and Pole...

Bunny (on the left) and Pole (on the right)

Serious?

Bunny?? Bunny became so slim suddenly??

That's Bunny from Melaka. Not our Bunny, but Catherina Tay's Bunny, also a male cat!

Where is our Bunny then? Bunny, brother of Pole?

 Here is our Bunny....

 Ah...this is Pole's brother, Bunny.

This is Pole's other brother, Cow.

And Indy seems to be Bunny's new protege...undergoing tutelage in learning the Leopard Pose ("sleep like there's no tomorrow with one limb dangling"!).

Baggy ate four times today!

Today, we have a blessing to celebrate, because Baggy came out to the pantry on her own and ate four times!

At breakfast, she came out with the rest.

That's Baggy sitting on the blue box.

She only wants the ID and nothing else. Today is canned food day since I forgot to defrost the home-cooked food last night. Baggy doesn't want to even touch the Natural Balance, only the ID. Maybe she knows what she needs.

I also saw her urinate in the litter-box, so that's a cause for celebration as well.

For each of the 4 meals, she ate 3 helpings!

No diarrhoea so far, no vomiting too.

Baggy eats dinner!

Ever since that one breakfast yesterday morning, Baggy had not been interested in food at all, so it was back to force-feeding until...dinner just now.

But all throughout the day, I had been force-feeding her small amounts at about 2-hour intervals except for the morning when I was at work.

At dinner time, she came out all by herself to join the rest and I quickly served her three spoonfuls of whatever we had - ID, Natural Balance and home-cooked - take your pick, Baggy, as long as you are willing to eat.

Eating the ID all by herself.

She ate the home-cooked portion as well.

Guess she is just a small eater, but am glad she came out to seek out the food all by herself.

Meanwhile Bobby had problem locating his bowl, so Bunny came to the rescue.

They all know the rules. When Bobby eats, they move away.

Since yesterday, after Baggy got better, she still looked rather depressed. I was worried she might be depressed due to missing her sister, Baloo. She would just sit at the grille and stare out at nothingness.

She didn't play much except when I opened the wardrobe.

Her new-found favourite place is at the flower-bed. Here, Cow is accompanying her.

 Pole also.

This evening, Mr G came to "the hole" again. He knows this is the way in, if he can dig a big enough hole, that is.

The guard is....sleeping on the job?

Baggy's evening adventure with the gang

After that one hearty breakfast, Baggy wasn't interested in food anymore throughout the day, so it was back to force-feeding small amounts. But then again, she has a very small appetite to begin with (just like Pole and Cleo - these two mother-daughter can survive with just one meal a day, if the taste is not right, unlike Tabs, where the taste is ALWAYS right! Her only contender is Bunny, or does she eat more than Bunny now? I think she does!)

Really, nothing beats being with good old Uncle Bobby.

I think she looks much better now. Hopefully she also feels much better.

Meanwhile, outside, Tabs was up to something.

This has been her project for weeks - trying to either scratch a hole in the mosquito netting, or open the netting. She actually managed to slide open one of the panels one day. Luckily I saw it on time or there might have been an exodus of cats out from Bunny's Place and it would have been a field day with roamers like Indy, Pole and Cleo.

If I may side-track a bit, this has been Cleo's project for many days now.

Yups, that's my girl. But me? Been there, done that. Won't waste my time.

You see, Mr G had been scratching a hole right here (above) in the netting, and he had actually made a hole, which we reinforced with another netting (the grey-coloured one). Cleo thinks this may be an escape hole.

She tries, but there is no way out.

Look at what Mr G had done. We've repaired it since.

I brought Baggy out to the garden to join in the activities, but she wasn't too interested.

 Ahh....now, what is that?

 Yes, what is that??

 Oh, a dragonfly!

 Now, who is who here?

 Spot the difference!

I'll get the dragonfly down. Don't worry, Mr Dragonfly, Tabs is here. Tabs will get you down.

After the dragonfly adventure, the gang went out to the Clubhouse.

Our regular guest for the evening had arrived, as always, without fail.

 Pole keeps a watchful eye.

Indy is quite happy where he is!

Later, everyone was out at the Clubhouse....

 ...keeping Baggy company!

Where is Tabs?

Well, she was elsewhere, looking for more adventure, as usual.

Adventure over, now keeping Baggy company for the night.

Baggy passes the first hurdle - eating on her own!

I decided I'd try giving Baggy ID for a change of taste. My chicken stew may not be tasty enough to rekindle her taste buds.

When Baggy heard me opening the can, she meowed....now, that's a good reaction, I thought.

So I dished a bit out with my finger and let her smell it.

Not interested.

Force-fed that bit....

Hmm...nice?

Nice!

And she licked the rest off my finger!

And more....

Had started by handfeeding her, but she must have been very hungry because she wanted to eat straight from the can!

I didn't want to stop her as this was a MOMENT I had been waiting for, so I let her continue.
Just so glad to see her appetite returning.

Clavomox (the antibiotic) must be doing its job very well, fighting the infection in the gut.

Tabs is keeping her company or Tabs wants to share the food?

I had to remove the can as she should not eat too much at a go. Don't want to trigger another bout of vomiting and diarrhoea. Slowly does it...

 But I'm hungry!!

You have to wait another two hours, Baggy.

Do not fear, Tabs is here. Tabs will ensure you get your food in two hours.

Tabs will stay with you until you get your food, and maybe Tabs gets some too?

 Good old reliable Uncle Bobs!

Now, the next hurdle for Baggy is to see well-formed stools and no more diarrhoea....

Thank you, everyone, for all your good wishes for Baggy!
