Bosco sits up!!!

Ref: http://myanimalcare.org/2012/10/21/bosco-in-very-critical-condition-suspected-poisoning/

My phone just rang 10 minutes ago. It was from the clinic. I took a deep breath, steeled my heart and answered the call.

It was from the vet and I think my heart stopped.

"Just to let you know that Bosco is sitting up. He has shown improvement!"

I jumped for joy!!  I couldn't believe my ears, and I quickly said a thank-you prayer.

Thank you, thank you, thank you everyone...for your prayers.

PLEASE keep your prayers coming. Bosco needs this miracle and it can only come from our prayers and of course, the treatment from the vet.

And the first thing I did was to call Cathy and thank her profusely. Cathy said her heart also stopped when she saw a phonecall from me. In fact, Cathy told me the vet had told her that if Bosco could pull through tonight, it would be a miracle (it was THAT bad). And while Cathy and I were both jumping for joy, do you know who else was meowing right next to me?

Raven!!

I guess she must be so happy too!!

Thank you, my dear friends for being with me in this crucial time and for all your heartfelt prayers. I cannot thank you enough.

We still have tonight to go through, and then, the next 3-4 days for the drip to flush out whatever that is causing Bosco's condition. One little step at a time...

Little Raven "raving" with me in the dining room!

The last few hours had been very trying for me. I held on to my phone, even brought it into the bathroom when I took a bath (!) because I was so afraid I'd miss the vet's call. Yet, a call from the vet would...not be good news. Most vets don't call unless it is bad news. I am therefore SO incredibly thankful this vet called to tell me the good news. I'm truly grateful, knowing how busy he must be and yet he found the time to call.

Then, as always, there would be all the AnimalCare matters and emails to reply to and attend to. I've learnt that no matter what, the show must go on. So while my heart was with Bosco, my mind had to attend to all these matters. Food has to be arranged for the BU construction site dogs, email enquiries had to be attended to, posts had to be written, etc.

As I sat at the computer attending to all this, your messages of hope and kind wishes came in. I want to tell you how much that meant to me. I was not alone; and Bosco too was not alone. You were there for him and for me. Thank you so much for this.

The next step is to pull through tonight. Meanwhile, we have wire-netted the gate and Raven is inside the house now. She had a Natural Balance dinner and is quite happy prancing around the house.

Raven is a little afraid of me because she associates me with the oil treatment which she absolutely hates. So I have to work on this and I suppose, no oil treatment for now (especially when she's already been treated for the mange with Revolution).

She absolutely LOVES the Natural Balance. It's her first time eating it because her wetfood so far has been home-cooked food. I didn't have time to cook today.

Meanwhile, it's a very cold day and Indy had found a nice comfy spot inside the cupboard.  Bunny was on the pink box but got "stared down" by Cow, so he had to find another spot....here.

Cleo is on the bench...

 ...with her mum, Pole.

Cow "stared" Bunny off the pink box and took over.

Then, it was dinner time and everyone went out to the pantry to eat, and by the time Indy came back...

Pole had taken Indy's spot inside the cupboard. Indy was annoyed and wanted to take it out on Cleo.

Cleo stood her ground, so Indy could only complain.

Tiger was in the box on top of the washing machine and...

 I'm a happy little cat!

I'm not sure how long Bosco and Raven need to be quarantined and under observation before they can join Bunny's Place, or should I create a Bosco's Place outside?

One thing at a time...
