Another peek-a-boo tabby bag (with a notched-ear!) for little Carlie

Carlie wanted so much to win Bag No. 9 (Peek-a-Boo Tabby): http://myanimalcare.org/2014/03/26/a-peek-a-boo-tabby-bag-bag-no-9-for-auction/ but she lost the bag to Winnie the Cat.

So Carlie asked her human, Joy, to ask if my mum would be willing to sew a smaller version of Peek-a-Boo Tabby for Carlie as she wants to give it as a birthday present to a relative.

Well, how can you say "no" to a request from a kitten, right?

So, for a generous donation from Carlie, we present Peek-a-Boo Tabby (measuring 13 inches by 13.5 inches) with a notched-ear!!

Carlie also requested the tabby to be in the same cloth as the previous one.

The notched ear!

It will be Poslaju-ed to Carlie tomorrow.

It's a smaller bag, as per Carlie's request.

Thank you very much for the generous donation to our Fund!

P.S. If you'd like to order a bag or blanket, please do write in. Currently, we have an order of 6 shopping bags from Norely and her colleagues. Or, you could wait for our auctions and bid for whatever you like!

Offer a donation that is higher than our starting auction bid and I'll ask my mum if she can sew one. Please write to me. Thank you.

I love that Carlie wanted the kitty on the bag with a notched ear! I know there's been a certain amount of debate on the ear-marking issue, but I have to say, my beloved Crumpet has a snipped ear. When I first adopted her, I sighed with relief, knowing for sure that she was already spayed. Next, I thought that one ear gives her a distinctive, jaunty look! Lastly, it amazes me how many people don't notice for the longest time that there is anything different about her left ear. I am still a fan of ear-tipping (or notching), mostly to avoid unnecessary surgery in future. And I hope this lovely tote bag will carry lots of great food to Carlie. :-)

Ha ha...actually, I asked my mum to make the notched-ear. I know it's tricky since it's very small (the smaller it is, the harder it is to be sewn). But I thought a notched ear will carry a very powerful message and it's what we promote too. People would ask, "Hey, why is there a notch on the cat's ear?" and that would give us a chance to explain (and promote the awareness)!
