The Nutri+Gen Chitosan is a big hit!

This small little sample is only 12g and it says on the tube to give 2g to a "small pet" and 4g to a "medium pet".  I suppose it's safer to start small, hence, 2g, which means I can use this tube 6 times.

Bunny LOVED it and asked for more!

Gosh...it smells like the seasoning in instant noodles.

I gave Cow and Tiger too.

The rest of the brood doesn't need it.

But I've ordered a big tube already, for Cow, Bunny, Tiger and Timmy.  Maybe Ginger needs it too.

Timmy ate it, of course. I don't know whether he knows what he ate because I put it into his food and he gobbled everything up within seconds.

Yum, yum!

Meanwhile, I achieved a breakthrough this week!

Pole was vomiting food and this usually means it's a case of hairball.

For the past 7 years, I had not been able to give Pole any medication or supplement without her trying to kill me.

If you succeed in putting a dash of the paste onto her paw, she would fling it with such intense strength and the next thing you know, you're getting the ladder to wipe off that dratted blob from the ceiling. Her daughter, Cleo, does exactly the same thing. They are both stronger than me.

But this time....the stars were aligned.

I took my chance, grabbed her by the scruff of the neck and guess what?

I not only managed to give her a dash of it, but the full dose.

With immediate effect, the vomiting stopped.

It's amazing!

I continued for two days and that's it. The problem was solved.

In fact, everyone else lined up for their share too - it was most comical!

Cleo, included.

Yes, the stars are aligned and things are going right...finally!

Ha! I had to laugh at the image of the flying furball goop. I use the multi-vitamin goop on my cats, and I've lost track of the times I find it splattered onto walls at the other end of the house. I don't think they've managed to hit the ceilings yet, but it's not for want of trying. You seem pretty confident about this star alignment thing, so I'll go try to apply some vita-goop now.

It's an astrological miracle. Neither cat ran through the whole house with foreleg flailing about as if I'd smeared hydrochloric acid on it. They simply gave me withering looks and began licking the hated stuff off. Kindly alert us the next time the stars are suitably aligned!

I am checking my geomancy compass right now....

Maybe because it's the new moon phase? http://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/moonphases.html. LOL. Does this mean that we now have to check the lunar calendar when we feed vita-goop?

That might be wise...

LOL - for fun I checked the Cafe Astrology website, and this is what it says for the What's in Store for Today section - very apt. See the cut-and-paste below:

The Moon is in Libra all day, and balancing our personal desires with those of another comes into focus. There is a strong desire to create order through pleasing interactions with others and aesthetics in our environment. The Sun sextiles Jupiter this morning, stimulating hopefulness and good will. It's favorable for marketing, publishing, and advertising, as well as any self-promotion activities. We may be especially sociable, tolerant, and generous under this influence. Confidence comes from a stronger sense of who we are and the principles we represent. Some form of recognition or distinction is possible now. We are more able to grasp the "big picture" which expands our perspective. This evening, however, a challenging aspect between Venus and Chiron can point to blocks to intimacy if we focus on differences rather than similarities in our relationships with others.
