The Sunny Kittens' new bungalow

 The sunny kittens have migrated from their carrier to this new bungalow.

 Honeybear can finally suck from the bottle. 

No more syringe-feeding now.

 The three play together very happily.

 It reminds me of Tumble Tots!

 Honeybear is the first to groom himself!

 Bungalows aside, they still love Uncle Bobby's warmth.

Last night, I tried ONE (just one piece) of soaked Baby Cat kibble on each of them.  Fox and Honeybear spat them out, but Rex took his quite happily. 

This morning, they each had ONE soaked kibble again.  Just one piece each.  I hope their stomachs will gradually adjust to the kibbles in time.

Some photo updates and milestones...

Rex and Fox can already drink from the bottle.  Honeybear still needs syringe-feeding, but he has the loudest voice!

 This morning, Rex could even lap milk from a dish, but just a wee bit.  Honeybear just trampled all over the milk.  Fox didn't quite know what was going on!

More sunny news...

I had wanted to start the Sunny Kittens on baby kibbles already, but after hearing all the horror stories resulting from the change of diet for very young kittens, I'm delaying it for a while...

They are still on Pets Own Milk, but drinking like crazy....and producing nice golden-yellow poo. Urination is clear and nice too. All three can urinate on their own now.

Bobby, despite being blind, is trying very hard to lick up the remaining milk after every feed, if any left, that is.

We let the Sunny Kittens play on the sofa last night.

Foxie is calling Ming-Yi for something.

They loved it! Honeybear fell down into the cushions below.

He thought it was such fun.

Pole comes home!!

After going repeatedly over to the neighbours to carry Pole back and ward off Indy's ambush attempts, Pole came home by herself this morning for breakfast!

Pole has been so terrified of Indy who has been bullying her, but recently, he started blocking Pole from coming home, and poor Pole had not come home for 2 days until we "interfered" with the case. 

 Pole has always preferred kibbles.

 The only other food she likes is Fussie Cat.

One hour after everyone had eaten, Indy came back.  He's been feeling pretty bad ever since he got the scolding, I guess.  So he didn't dare eat with the rest. 

Ok, you may eat, but don't be naughty anymore. 

Meanwhile, Cow is also having some "issues" of his own.  Ming-Yi said the day I brought the kittens back, Cow immediately went upstairs to Ming-Yi's room and lodged a full report (complaint?) to her. 

Hmm....

This morning, when I was cooking Bobby's breakfast, Fox and Honeybear came running out to the kitchen.  They were attracted to "that nice smell".

No, no...you can't eat that.  Not yet.

He actually licked a bit of water...yucks, milk is better.

Bobby keeps a constant watch on them.

The article in the Star

Hi everyone,

Thank you so very much for all your emails and text messages sent after you came across the article in Star Two today.  I am very touched. 

The interview was done some months back, actually, but the article was postponed till now, and isn't that a blessing, because it was so timely.  We registered with the ROS, we had the discussion with our councillor on implementing CNRM and received their support, AND we finally got our official bank account running. 

Then, the article came out....what perfect timing!

Thanks very much, Cheryl, for writing it!

We'll dedicate the article to little Cookie and Vixey.

The hills are alive!

This would be one of my favourite songs and favourite movies of all time. 

Well, the Sunny Kittens have also been exposed to all kinds of inspirational music this week.  This morning, I decided to create a "simulated" hill for them to play on, after their 5am breakfast....

I made a little hillock for them to climb on, out of bedsheets.

It was something new, and they loved it...

Honeybear lost interested quite quickly, though...and decided to go downhill while Rex and Fox take on the challenge of scaling the mountain.

I'm the first to reach the top!  

Hooray!!

Honeybear goes back to Uncle Bobby.

It's strange, all the blue-point kittens I've fostered seemed to like Bobby so much.  Is it a colour thingie? 

I wanna stay with Uncle Bobby....

P.S.  Thank goodness my animal-hating back neighbour has gone off for the school holidays.  Otherwise, I don't think I would have been able to foster the Sunny Kitties for so many days.  How much longer is the school holidays?
