Butter's updates

I wish I had better news to report, but Butter is having diarrhoea again.  This must be a really stubborn and deadly bug we are up against.

I'm at my wit's end, really, not knowing exactly what to do now.

I think the diarrhoea can be controlled if he only takes very small amounts of food.  But the small amounts wouldn't be enough to sustain such a young kitten.

It's an extremely tricky and delicate situation.

It's going to be another long night for me again.

The only good sign, I suppose, is that Butter can still walk and is not lying motionless.  He can even ask for food, but I can't give him too much else the diarrhoea comes right back.  It's heart-breaking not to give him food when he asks for it.

Please pray that Butter will recover from this soon.

I think the stools I saw this morning on the newspapers was probably Peanut's, and not Butter's.  Peanut passed motion just now, and her stools were well-formed.

Peanut wants to play with Butter.

You mentioned that Jelly once had bruised paws. Could they have been cut by the sharp edges of these flower baskets where you often snap pics of them playing in? The edges are very sharp and can certainly injure fragile paws.

I always line them with newspaper or cloth first, no naked baskets with sharp anything that can cause injuries for them.

Take care!

The vet said it was due to the caked-up poo that was cleaned off. She always stepped on her poo while I was at work. I'd clean it with running water, but her paw pads were very fragile.
