'Tis the season to be fighting?

Two days ago, we suddenly heard the sound of ferocious cat-fight from Mr G's house. There was obviously a huge fight there and my brood was stunned. That evening, we waited with bated breath to see if Mr G would come for supper, and come he did, and we were relieved he wasn't hurt.

This morning, the Indy-Cow animosity which had been mounting for days came to a head.

A big fight broke out between the two black-and-whites, not once but twice!

This is what happened this morning:

It started with the typical cat-fight noises....

Bobby comes to mediate in the first fight, which happened in the room itself.

 Indy is not satisfied...

He still wants his way....Cow leaves the room.

I'm just sitting here minding my own business...

But Indy comes over and disturbs Pole's peace and there is mild hissing...

Meanwhile, our fallen hero goes to the Stargate to chill with Mr G, who had just come in for breakfast.

There's our fallen hero, looking quite...well, "fallen".

 The elders keep him company.
After all, we elders must watch each other's backs, mustn't we?

Indy had been itching to look at Mr G's house and from here, he could peep at what's going on...on the other side.

Mr G's house is at the back of ours, to the right.

 What do you see, Indy?

He comes down, after completing his reconnaissance survey...

Another fight breaks out between the two black-and-whites again, this time, in the pantry.

Cow goes off to talk to Mr G again, with the elders nearby.

Mr G is served homecooked chicken stew this morning, freshly cooked.

The wound at the back of his ear is dry, so that's ok.

I see drops of blood on the walkway. It is from Cow's paw. Looks like he got hurt in the pantry fight just now.

 Our fallen hero.
(See the tufts of fur from the second fight in the pantry?)

 Our bully.

 Our iodine...
(for the fallen hero)

I try to put some iodine on Cow's wound, but it was near impossible.

I hope it would not develop into an abscess. He's very prone to that.

By the time I came home from work in the afternoon...

Indy was still up to his tricks....

He tries to terrorise poor Tiger now...

Tiger asks for help, and I shoo Indy out of the room.

Here he is again, trying it on Cow, or are they just chilling?

Don't worry, I'll take care of things....

Chief of Staff is nearby, too...everyone's on standby to protect Cow.

Sensing no danger, Chief of Staff walks away.

Later in the afternoon, Indy tries it on Cleo.

He is clearly on the warpath today.

Is it full moon tonight?

Cleo stands her ground with the Bastet Pose.
Don't mess with me, she says... I may be small, but I'm descended from Queens.

 I don't want to fight....

Bunny goes missing after that and I could not find him anywhere....until....

He had opened this rattan trunk and gone inside to hide from the mounting tension in the room.

Ok, Bunny, you stay in there. It's safer for you.

Soon, things began to cool down...

The tabbies are just so easy-going and unaffected by the goings-on in the world.

Bunny comes out from the trunk and chilled.

As the sun goes down, the tension follows suit.

 Bobby goes for a walk.

The evening was quite uneventful after that.

We thus end the day by wishing "Peace on Earth and goodwill to all cats"!
