Presenting Mr (I-am-chilling-out) QUACK!

Remember Mr Quack? He was the terrorist who just appeared out of the blue in my neighbourhood. He attacked Ginger (bite wound until almost gangrenous) and terrorised everyone except Daffodil. I managed to trap him, got him neutered and Maslinda offered to adopt him.

Well, Joy Saga visited Maslinda recently and managed to snap these photos of this oh-so-handsome cat chilling in the compound of the house.

Hey, Mr Quack!

IMG-20140406-WA0003

Lookin' good, ol' boy!

Over at Maslinda's, Mr Quack is a loner amongst the adults, but has a loyal following of little kittens!

The unmistakable face of Mr Quack!

Ol' blue eyes!!

He looks great!!

The backing is done in a matching pink (by my mum).

mini-P4220663

I stayed up all night supervising the sewing of this blanket, you know...

mini-P4220666

It's a nice blankie...

Every cat should have a blankie....

mini-P4220668

....for he/she to roll on!

mini-P4220670

Or, you can use it as a large floor mat that is totally washable and dries easily.

Won't you bid for this blanket for the many street animals out there?

I too lived as a street cat for years before I became a sewing cat....now I live in a house and supervise sewing.
And I get to eat yummy food and lie on blankets...

Happy Bidding!

It's all for the animals!

Tiger Day 47

A quick check of the two areas where I'm waiting patiently for the sores to disappear so that we can begin the 30-day countdown to freedom from Sporonox.

mini-P4220656

Left front paw - it's already crusted when I touch the sore.

mini-P4220657

Left leg.

We will reach there....soon. Praying...

mini-P4200647 mini-P4200645

Am I good? I let Tiger sit on my blankie.

mini-P4200648

There was a rain episode in the room today.

It was raining quite heavily with thunder and everyone was afraid.

Tabs was hiding behind the bench and when the rain subsided, Tabs wanted to come out.

mini-P4210649

Oh dear...how is Tabs going to come out with TWO titans on guard?

mini-P4210650

We created a distraction to get Bunny away.

mini-P4210651

Tabs is friends with Indy, so that was easy....phew!

mini-P4220653

Tiger, safe and sound on the editor's chair!

Flowers for Mom (Blanket No. 38) - up for auction!

With Mother's Day around the corner, we will be putting up blankets for Mother's Day from today onwards.

So, how about giving a meaningful gift for your mom or grandmom to honour them on Mother's Day? Instead of buying flowers, won't you consider buying our homesewn patchwork blankets, which is reminiscent of what moms and grandmoms do in yesteryears - making patchwork from scraps of cloth so as not to waste? Yes, patchwork is all about recycling and not wasting reusable material.

So here we go....Flowers for Mom!

mini-P4200648

The floral and polkadot cloth are contributed by Agnes.

Auction Rules:

1. Please check the latest comment for the latest bid before putting in yours.

2. All bids are placed as comments on this blogpost. All comments will be published instantly in chronological order.

3. The auction ends at 5pm, on Tuesday, 22nd April 2014.

Note: Please monitor this post near closing time if you want to ensure that you are the highest bidder.

100% of the winning bid will be channeled to our Fund for the animals.

Do we hear RM150?

The bids as they come in:

21st April:

At 10.42am, Bobo Salem bids RM200.

At 7.57am, Irene bids RM150.

mini-P4200646

This is a double-layered cotton patchwork with no padding in between.

It measures 48 inches by 69 inches.

mini-PC210204

Designed and supervised by Ginger.

mini-P4200648 mini-P4200650

The beige backing is done by my mum with cloth contributed by Agnes and Gerley.

For RM150, you will be subsidising the neutering of one dog or one cat and 2 vaccinations. In return, you get a homesewn blanket, designed by a cat, sewn by two humans (under the supervision of the said cat!) which you can in turn give as a Mother's day present to your mom, grandmom or an aunt. It would be a very meaningful gift.

Flowers for mums and mum-figures!

Happy Bidding!!

Conference at the border...peace in sight?

Yes, there was a conference at the border and I was hoping for a breakthrough in the peace talks.

This happened yesterday...

mini-20140419_182955

Indy to Bunny: So, should we make peace with them?

mini-20140419_183508

Bunny replies: Hmm...I'm not sure, what do you think, Cow? Why don't you two decide, I want to take a nap.

mini-20140419_183610

Meanwhile, outside, Timmy represents the PatioCats to negotiate for peace.

mini-20140419_183623

Well, we are a peaceful lots. You see, we mean no harm.

And what do you think happened today?

I was SO surprised....please read on...

mini-P4200643

Ginger dragged his blanket to the grille and made a peace offering!

mini-P4200644

I will share my favourite Carebears blanket with all of you.

We just want to be friends.

mini-P4200645

So can we be friends, please?

(I opened the grille for a split second, supervised.)

mini-P4200646

From Indy's body language...hmm...what do you think?

It doesn't look like we have a breakthrough yet....

But we are hopeful.

But, isn't it incredibly sweet of Ginger to drag his blanket to the grille?

Don't you just love Ginger?
