Blanket No. 10 (Two by Two) - up for auction!! (Ends at 5pm on Monday)

Here we go, folks!  Our Adopt-a-Blanket-Help-the-Animals mania continues with a very special blanket this round.

It's Two by Two! And it's got pairs of monkeys, zebras, giraffes, penguins, sheep and elephants!

This Two-by-Two material is contributed by Chen Chen. Thank you very much, Chen Chen. The rest of the plain-coloured cloth is from our "stash"(!).

From Chen:
I chose to get this cloth for fundraising because I think it's got layers of very beautiful meanings. First is the obvious meaning of always having a friend/family by your side no matter who you are, or how you look like. And second, it refers to the story of Noah's Ark which is one of my favourite stories. The Noah's Ark story symbolises safety and help in times of crisis for all humans and animals. And whenever I look at the cloth longer different kinds of meanings will pop up.

I call this a security blanket :D

Auction Rules:

6ft by 4ft

All cotton material. Perfect as a blanket for our weather.

This is a two-layered patchwork blanket without any padding in between.

Patchwork is the art of sewing patches/pieces of cloth together to form a bigger piece (which is what this is). Quilting is the art of sewing layers of cloth together (normally, with a padding in between and is hence thicker).
