Rainbow Delight (Blanket No. 41) - up for auction!

This has been my most exciting creation so far...

I call it "Rainbow Delight"!


It took me a whole week to match the colours and sew the design.

As always, it's made with rectangular strips to maximise the use of cloth.

And I followed the order of the colours of the rainbow.

Ginger selected and combined the colours.

Red, Orange, Yellow, Green,...

Look at the matching borders on the two sides!

This is a two-layered cotton patchwork without padding in between.


It measures 55 inches by 70 inches.


The beige borders and backing is done with the cloth contributed by Agnes and Gerley.


The coloured fabric is from all the left-overs that we have.


It was such fun creating this piece!

    Hi Dr Chan, yes I do. Her name is Hazelnut Karameow Balestorm. She's a Balestorm-ngiao. Just like me. You can see her on my FB page. She's a nutter. But I think I love her-ngiao.

    Thank you Dr Chan. The bow tie was handsewn by mama but I don't wear it often as I do not like things around my neck-ngiao.

    Thank you Oreo and Hazel for not outbidding us doggies...cos we r not that observant to get in last min bids, hehe! We finally get a colorful blankie that has ALL the colors so we don't have keep waiting for a red blankie! Yippee!

    Hi Wine Dogs, I showed Hazel a picture of the blankie and she didn't want it-ngiao. She wants a purple or red blankie though so if Dr Chan puts up a red blankie, it seems we will have to bid against each other... :)

    Dear Auntie Jasmine, thanks for liking most of my pictures on FB. She is too active for me, in fact, Hazel's the reason why I'm not asleep yet at this hour-ngiao. She's on her zoomies mode and is zooming all over the room, and launching herself at me every now and then-ngiao! I've gotta stay awake to make sure she doesn't hurt herself. The other night she jumped into our water bowl and got herself all wet. Mama had to cuddle her all night to keep her warm.

    A purple and red one with strawberries and apples? I think Hazel would love that-ngiao! She sometimes smell of strawberries, especially after she cuddles with mama after mama's bath-ngiao. We will most definitely wait for that! Thanks for the prior notice, Dr Chan.
