I've researched and asked friends who serve the raw diet to their animals, and there is so far no truth in it. However, having said that, it does not mean that the belief is 100% untrue. I stopped giving the raw meat and liver for various reasons. (1) I did notice that Indy behaved in a more primal way whenever he ate his raw liver and drank the blood (though he loves it to bits!). (2) I'm not a meat-eater, so it bothers me a bit handling meat, raw or otherwise. But since Cleo loves raw meat, I still give it to her occasionally as a treat. Indy, on the other hand, does not really like raw meat. He only loves raw liver and blood. That's scary, isn't it? He actually slurps up the blood and asks for more. Yikes! Vampire-cat!<br>As for your cat growling, I've noticed that too. They do it when they love the food too much. It's their way of saying, "Hey, don't you dare come near, this is MY food." Bunny does it when he gets fried fish. I don't think it has anything to do with raw meat per se.chankahyeinnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6481340516560332743.post-46901317586312341102013-04-27T03:14:14.000+08:002013-04-27T03:14:14.000+08:00That was scary..... I also feed my cats raw diet occasionally, and one of them will "growl" to the rest.... with the meat still in his mouth.... Never seen him react like that! I was a bit concern....MSnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6481340516560332743.post-7390294717866972772013-04-27T22:07:59.000+08:002013-04-27T22:07:59.000+08:00Haven't tried. Thanks. Cut chicken liver into small pieces about 1-cm and place on greaseproof lined baking tray. Bake at 70 degrees celcius for an hour or until liver bits are dried. Store in fridge. Excess bits can be stored in freezer.Mellenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6481340516560332743.post-51986749640949045472013-04-29T16:49:10.000+08:002013-04-29T16:49:10.000+08:00Thanks for the recipe. But still occasionally get some for the cats. Anything for the cats!Chennoreply@blogger.com
